GIANT LEAP FOR MANKIND" IN ITS 50TH YEAR ; REMEMBERING THE APPOLLO 11 MISSION

"THAT'S ONE SMALL STEPS FOR A MAN, ONE GIANT LEAP FOR MANKIND"

Everybody must have heard of those famous lines.

Yes, through this blog we are remembering the historical landing of the mankind in the Lunar surface as part of the 50th Anniversary of the Appollo 11 Moon Landing.

The Appollo 11 Mission was started on July 16, 1969, as the whole world saw the three astronauts flying in a spacecraft and disappearing into the sky.

This was the Moon Landing mission (Appollo 11 mission) which occurred 8 years after the American President John F Kennedy announced the goal of landing a man on the moon by the last of the 1960s.

The astronauts who went for the Appollo 11 mission were Neil Amstrong, Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin and Michel Collins. They were all American Astronauts.

The big day arrived on July 20th1969, when the astronauts finally landed on the surface of the moon.

Neil Amstrong, Edwin "Buzz Aldrin" were the first two humans to land on the moon. Michel Collins was the astronaut who went for the Appollo 11 mission but he never landed on the moon as he stayed in the moon's orbit while Amstrong and Aldrin left to make the first landing on the moon.

Neil Amstrong said about the Landing of mankind in the moon as;
"THAT'S ONE SMALL STEPS FOR A MAN, ONE GIANT LEAP FOR MANKIND"
which I referred to in the beginning.

Neil Amstrong planted the American Flag on the Lunar Surface after his landing which Amstrong himself said later that it was very tough to plant the flag on the surface of the moon.

There was six successful 'man on the moon' missions which was completed.

# INTERESTING FACTS :
* President Nixon spoke with Neil Amstrong via Tele -Radio transmission shortly after they planted the American Flag on the surface of the moon. He considered it as the HISTORICAL CALL EVER MADE FROM THE WHITE HOUSE.

* The footsteps of the astronauts landed on the moon will not disappear and will remain there with no change for as long as the moon lasts as there is no Atmosphere in the Moon.

#CONCLUSION

So I am ending my write-up by remembering the historical landing of mankind on the Moon as we are celebrating its 50th anniversary on July 20th 2019.
